There were a little over 400 jeeps out there. we would drive up and down the beach or park and play. Me and a few others went and played in the little washout. The washout was deep in a few spots so we would zig zag back and forth in it splashing around. anyway, long story short, i play for about 2 minutes and turn around to go park. by the time i am parking a galveston cop lights me up. he doesnt do the normal "do you know why i stopped you" routine. This little fella is a hispanic gent that is maybe 25 and very wet behind the ears He just walks up and gets my insurance and liscense.......here is how our interaction went after waiting about 10 minutes:
Cop: sign here this is not an admissions of guilt.....blah blah blah
Me: You are seriously giving me a ticket?
Cop: This is public land and the speed limit is 15 mph
Me: Oh, so you had a radar and clocked me going over 15?
Cop: no
Me: so we are just going off of your wild ass guess on my speed? we were playing in the washout and there is no way i got over 10!
Cop: Well i could go ahead and write you a ticket for no seatbelt (this i was guilty of......in and out of the jeep all day with no doors on the jeep.....didnt wear a belt}
me: no dude, i know how this works and i cant win so just give me the ticket
Cop: do you have any more questions
Me: Not at all Mr Crime Fighter! Keep fighting these awful crimes you are doing an excellent job!
Thus endeth the exchange
So....I got excessive speed in the washout.
I have zero problems handling any and all tickets i have ever received in the past, but this is plain old horse shit.

You won't win, unless you have him on video admitting to not clocking you. If you fight it he will simply lie in court saying he clocked you at (insert speed here), or say how reckless you were. Guaranteed he took note of you being a smartass and will gladly tell the judge you were being a belligerent asshole.
