x2. Dad watched his mother suffer through cancer in the 70's, no thanks.

As opposed to having the family watch him suffer and shrivel up and die a slow death?

I think I'd try to go out fucking with great whites or wrestling a grizzly, or at least leaping off a cliff. But, fuck dying slow in a bed.

          I completely agree with that.

I've had to watch someone shrivel up and die from cancer, and I can see your point. It sucks. If it's true that he really did receive a terminal cancer diagnosis I can't say what I would do in his position. I don't think I could off myself like that though. Hopefully he at least explained to his family or left a note stating that this was the reason so they aren't left wondering.

as long as he made peace with his makers and said his final goodbyes i commend him. i see it no differently than the person who gets lung cancer and says yolo and smokes til the day they die. hospital gown and all. he just made it easier on himself. he's probably high fiving jesus and doin shots with earnhardt sr. right now.

until your in those shoes its tough to say how you would feel. some people are scared of dying others accept it and wish to go on their own terms.
