Yeah, I didn't have all of that to worry about.

2 years W2's, 1 month bank statement, with current balance screenshot from website.

but i've also been with my same company 4 years, and my fiance with her's 3 years.

I deposited $6k of my own cash into my bank account and they wouldnt take it. I ended up needing a "gift" letter even though it was my own money. I had to show my job offer letter from 2 years ago after I graduated college and got a decent paying job. If this process drags out as mine did, you need to update all the bank account info, etc. Also, make sure you pay the title company early so they get their asses going. We were never told to send a check and that delayed us 2 weeks on closing.

While it is a pain in the ass, we are borrowing other people's money so we play by their rules.
You know I went through this (minus the large deposit part) and didn't think it was that big of a deal at all. I don't understand why everybody complains about the process, just collect the paperwork they ask for and fax it in. Just pulled the tax files out and printed out the bank statements.

Granted it was the first and only home I have purchased, was it really that much easier 10 years ago?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

We've done all this, so all we really have to provide from here on out are bank statements, which shouldn't be too bad, so now I am less worried.

I guess that means, too many crazy chicks would be messaging you, wanting you to give them the jesus, and the old lady wouldn't be too keen on that

                          For final approval:

Paystubs must be the most recent 30 days
Bank statements must be the most recent two with all pages.

These documents expire so anytime you get something new (pay stub or bank statement) make sure to hang on to it because it will probably be asked for to get cleared for closing.

It's rough right now as a buyer. DEFINITELY a seller's market. We went through several homes and a couple contracts before getting the one we are in. If this one had fallen through, we were seriously considering getting out of the market for a year or so.

I can get all this online at any time, including paycheck stubs, so I'm not sweating it. Thanks for the info, though.

This may be us, we were just trying to buy while interest rates were so freaking low. 3.5% is our current quoted rate, which is insanely low. Ask your parents how much they paid in interest on their first house, lol!
