Yeah that would be a drive. My only condolences is that 121 never has traffic, the tollway however is always backed up

I searched for 3 months for frisco and plano and the only houses I ciuld find that were still accepting offers were foreclosures and who knows how many offers the banks were sitting on at that point

its 8 minutes to 121 and 8 minutes to the tollway. If 15 minutes a day is workable I suggest atleast thinking about it

I don't live too far from there. I have a friend in the Heights at Westridge that I visit all the time and have done a few loans for people in those neighborhoods.

I'm considering it, but man...I already drive about 45 minutes in traffic. She generally gets there quicker just going down Preston from where we are now (just north of Stone Briar Mall).

I play golf at Westridge often and live at Eldorado and Independence as well.

<-- house has been on the market for 1.25 days and I have 3 offers, all over asking price. This is fun.

I'm happy for you*, still have not gotten an offer on my home going on day 33.

*Not really, I'm hating on you right now.

Well, bought a house. We close at the end of the month. Time to be even more broke for a while.

Yea, location and the condition of the house still matter. My old house sold in 11 days last summer. I think the primary reason was the quality of the local schools and the fact my house was the best one it its price range. We got our asking price too.

I bet we could have gotten $5K or more over asking if we had sold this year, but then we wouldn't have gotten such a sweet deal on our current home. It was originally listed at $275K but I got it for $210K. The previous owners didn't stage the house at all and several little things made the house look like it was in disrepair. When it is said and done I'll be out $5-10K on repairs but the house is still a bargain. The home across the street sold for just over $350K.

Thanks. Yeah, unfortunately there wasn't any room to build in the area we wanted to be in. All-in-all we got a decent deal on a bigger house than I expected to get, in a great school district.

Where'd you end up going, able to find one through a realtor or builder?

                            Update on mine, getting closer

This right here. Only thing you have to worry about is the deer eating your garden.

Looking good. Tell them to paint your chimney a different color other than "contractor grey".

When playing that golf course it's funny to see all the dark grey chimneys on those houses...
