    Hmm....will be there for a couple days next week. Guess i need to check the area where i am staying and travel prepared.

        Baton Rouge is not bad place, but just like most cities it has its bad areas. Anything North of Florida should be avoided and the Gardere area. There are smaller pockets aside from those areas. I moved here last year when I took a management slot with my company.

          I can tell you that the gas station on Lamar St. In Memphis TN I almost had the same scenario play out for me. My dog was ready to get some motherfuckers that day. I don't recommend stopping in that town at all.
