I've known dudes who went there on vacation from Bosnia and had a great time. However, their standards were a little lower having spent time in Bosnia.

I'm not really going for anything positive. More morbid curiosity at a place I've wanted to visit for a long time, especially growing up when a nuclear exchange with the Iron Curtain was perceived as a genuine threat. When I was younger I wanted to learn Russian and work in an Embassy over there.

I have a coworker there that could probably answer any questions you have. I must admit, everyone that has traveled there has been shocked by how their stereotypes and assumptions were completely off.
