That's not a natural action (to point it at your own head), especially at 2 years old.

      I smell something fishy.
      My thoughts exactly....

        This is pretty sad.

Put them up, way up or way secure.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

I don't know, every kid I have ever seen that picked up a spray bottle of whatever, inadvertently turned it around and shot themselves in the face. Seen my son did this and I thought "What the hell were you thinking?". So since a gun has a trigger like a spray bottle, I can see it.

This is sad! I keep mine away/locked and hidden very well. My kids can come into our room unless they have permission. Because that is where I keep my guns.

Brutal, I can't imagine what the father is going through right now just in his own head.

Not to mention having to face the rest of his family knowing it was his fault.

Should have provided some details - it was more or less an anti-gun reference.

                          Trolling, just ignore it.

And I get that the parents should be punished but I don’t think it should be for the reason of "setting an example". If a parent reads this story and still doesn’t think to be more cautious and aware, what makes you think punishing the parent will make it click?

But x100000000 for child endangerment...they should have AT LEAST either left it unloaded or had a trigger lock on it.

I agree and I am not even a dad. How much longer til' you're +1 Keith?

Even though I have all firearms in a safe in the closet, I still store them loaded, but unchambered. Just in the off chance I go full retard it will prevent a ND.

                              It should have been
                              Out of sight
                              Out of reach

Talk about a worthless gun. Problems like this can be avoided with a lot less.
