I believe my 5.3 Silverado take 7qts. Seems like the norm these days with the way the oil distribution is on these newer blocks. You can probably still pre-fill the filter about halfway without it going all over the floor.

I saw some ~08 fx4 wheels for sale on CL the other day for like 300 bucks. Toss some 32/33" tires on that thing and a leveling kit and you'll be set.

matt, go see skip. i got a 2011 5.0 f150 last weekend. you CANNOT beat his price and no bullshit way of doing business. he will straight out tell you what he can sell you the truck for within 5mins of you finding one you like.
