Avg s/u for a Jimmy Johns is apparently near $250k. McD's is around 1mil. Subway is around $60-$100k. Im looking in the $100-$150k s/u range. Not really trying to swing loans, would like to pay for everything in cash. Hell, I'm not against the idea of going for bigger things, but I'm not going to go into business with anyone that cant put up the same amount of cash that I will.

Bars are a headache! I would say more so than the food service industry. I spent two years managing/running a few places and I learned that it takes a special kind of individual to survive that lifestyle/industry.

i heard subway was by far the easiest to open up franchise wise and that's why there are some everywhere.

Subway has more stores than any other fast food chain.

Damn, someone just opened one in downtown Arlington next to Fuzzy's Tacos. Their subs are good and damn do they make them quick.
