Part of rolling out new processes/programs/etc is inviting employees into the process. This is beyond frustrating as a manager, but a good way to silence uprisings.

I've had a beer or two too many to read the whole thread, but never form a business process around an individual (or single point of failure).
I sell change to corporations that have to change the process for virtually every employee, and when speaking with Executives, they never think, "but what will Bob in shipping have to say about it?".
Technology and business evolves. If you don't change with it, you're left behind, and typically filing for unemployment.
