Did anyone else notice how many lazy folks on carts there were? You had to watch out for them since there were so many. Most of them could use the exercise.
I got a free sunburn out if it.

CN
finally got ready for a footlong corndog and, THEY WERE ALL OUT.
I like riding my bicycle at swap meets, the old fucking bastards that run the unfriendliest swapmeet in Texas don't allow bikes. I didn't make it to the back 3 or 4 rows. I bet each row was a dam mile long. I did score a small dc drive for my lathe, some carbide cutting tooling and a $7.00 holley.
I bought the small drive from an old vdub racer, Cantrell, he told me Lyle Cherry had cancer and was soon to pass. Thats sad since he's a great vw racer forever and local guy.

A whole Boss 302 for $1400? That seems about $40k too cheap. I would have jumped on it.
I didn't go, but the three people I know who did said it was mostly useless crap.
When the government pays, the government controls.
I don't get all the haters. People will bitch over anything. I still love it. I got one of those heavy grill guards for my Sierra for $40. I picked up 5 Holley/Ford 94's for about $15@. They were all pretty clean. 1 was even a NOS rebuilt that didn't look like was ever bolted on. I scored various items for a $1 here and there. There were other great deals to be had, though not necessarily car parts. I'm there for the fun of it all. Its like a museum and you meet interesting people and see all kinds of cool or weird shit while getting a lot of exercise. Sure beats sitting in front of the puter looking at over priced parts in the classifieds and CL.
It wasn't a bad meet. Lots of promising stuff. Only picked a few little items, tools, NOS door locks for the Falcon and a new fan shroud. Passed in quite a few 69 Mustang parts which were priced fairly. Upside, picked up 2 T-5s on the way, downside, ignition module took a shit in the truck and had to bum a ride.
