Got mine done 3years ago at 36, while my wife was stil pregnant with our 2nd. I knew for sure I was ready. Best 15 mins I ever spent. I love my kids and I don't have to worry about any more.

That's true. Maybe I could go spend all that cash on a Cobra that doesn't run?

The motion and the tenderness after is what makes you want to stab babies in the neck. Probably wouldn't be so bad if you had boring sex.

Why would anyone want to have boring sex?

Had mine done about 3 years ago or so and never looked back. No kids and never had a desire to have them.
          Whos your Daddy?

How old are you? Been curious if I will get any static at my age with no kids.

I told him not to use a guy whose office was in a storage facility. Brent: The new Charlie Runkle.

For the record, I consulted another one. The one Denny used. He didn't bother mentioning the possibility of the pain after either.

Had the big V just after the third one was born. She's 16 now. Life with no worries about another pregnancy has been nice. Never had any problems either but occasionally there is a little soreness, can't tell if it was related to the V or would occur normally though.

The doctor I used gave me a pamphlet, that was probably 5 pages thick with all the possible side affects. That was one of them. I couldn't screw doggie style for months because it hurt my nuts bad, but it's been a year since the surgery now and I have no pain at all. I had the normal soreness after the surgery and then it was just the pain during sex but that went away after a month or so.

Not an offer of service, just the way that doc did it I guess. At the time I was working two jobs, a full time and for UPS at DFW Airport. I had worked for UPS at that point long enough, somewhere around a year, that I had insurance coverage with them. It was better coverage that my full time job. It cost me a $5 - $15 office visit, and was covered 100% after that.

I remember my buddy asking me about it and I was like "Oh hell man it's nothing, they knock you out, do their thing, then you're sore for a week or so." I was laughing my ass off when he told me the horror story of being awake when ole doc stabbed his nuts with the needle. HAHA geez I feel bad for you guys that went through that.

Sucks, you guys are younger than me (im 28) and have 2 kids.

Wife and I have been trying for 3 years just to get our first. I'd love to be at a stage to be done.

I'm not sure what the age limit is, but most docs don't want to do one before you're 30. But being 26 and having two, they should not have much of an issue with it.
It can be reversed, sure. But please don't make it sound like it's a walk in the park. I just had mine reversed a few months ago. $25 co-pay to get a vasectomy, roughly $10,000 to have it reversed. It's a pretty big deal.

To the OP, you are 26... think it through good and hard, I used to think I knew a lot when I was 26 too I'm 41 now. I initially got my vasectomy done with my first wife for the exact same reason as you, she had a 3 year old little girl when we got married...... Then I got divorced. Got remarried to a woman with a fantastic family full of nieces and nephews and wants to have a baby of her own. My first wife took her little girl from me and won't let me see her and moved away, so now I have nothing, and I really miss being a dad. I'm not saying that my scenario is typical and it will happen to you, but it is my story.

Good luck with whatever you do.
