How early is too early to get snipped? I'm 26 about to have my second sone and the wife and I were talking about how we think we are done. I always wanted atleast 5 but after havinf my first little man that quickly changed, with twins running in her family, and always being on the third pregnancy we are unsure about bringing any more kids into this fucked up world.

I also have been kicking around that idea as well. I will be 26 in july and I don't know if we can handle another.

You are not ready. She needs and IUD and after 5 years maybe you will have a better idea as to what you both truly want to do.

Do it. It can be reversed later. If not, you've got a built in excuse because she agrees with you right now. Having two, you should be ok. I'm not sure what the age limit is, but most docs don't want to do one before you're 30. But being 26 and having two, they should not have much of an issue with it.

Sorry trying to type and drive can be pretty difficult, I told her she should get fixed since they were already in there but she didn't like that, she also said she didn't want the ring thing they put in there

Not 100% true on the reversal. When you have the old nuts cut and then have it reversed it is harder to get a chick pregnant. Some guys actually go sterile once they get cut and can't have kids no matter what. It's all in the pamphlet before you do the procedure. I did it last year, I'm 32 and have 2 kids. My wife has ruff pregnancies and we didn't want to risk it again so I had it done. Very easy procedure and your insurance usually pays for it. Not the reversal it is a operation and the insurance doesn't pay for it. Before doing it make sure it is what you both want, if there is that chance you might want kids later have your wife do an iud that way you get 5 years to think about it.

I started thinking about it when I was 30 after my second Son, my wife ambushed me with another pregnancy about a year after he was born. In hindsight I am glad I didn't as we had another wonderful boy who will turn three this year. My biggest concern was being able to provide for them, college specifically. I transferred my G.I bill to my oldest(7 yrs old) have funded an account that will likely cover my second boy but the third is going to be a challenge in that aspect. My opinion now is if you can afford/provide for the future spit them out as long as possible!

                    Then there's this...

Everyone is going to tell you it is easy as pie. Truth is, for most people, yes it is easy. But as someone who still has trouble, 18 months later; you need to be aware of this. Nobody told me about it. Doc never mentioned it as a possibility. And let me tell you, if this happens to you, it fucking hurts.

And this is one of the reasons I haven't got it done yet. That, and being lazy, that is. I've got enough problems with my back, I don't need to add another region of constant ache.

Did mine when I was 23, course I already had 3. Was with someone that wanted another after the wife, and we talked about it, but I was like screw that in my head.

There might come a time in life you may wish you didn't do it. BUT there will likely most definitely come a time you wish you did do it if you don't. lol

Oh and I never had a single complication after the week of soreness etc.. But luckily for me I was put under when they did it. None of this taking a needle to my nuts while I am wide awake shit. Screw that haha.

Did they offer it as an option or did you have to specifically ask for it? Was it covered under your insurance? I swear I'm still going to get it done sooner or later.

Eric it's hard to get napkins and socks pregnant so I would just save your money.

I can only speak for myself, but the constant ache isn't the bad part. It's during sex and after that will get you. I've caught myself thinking about work and other things just to be able to power through it. I've had to completely stop several times as well. It doesnt hurt while I'm getting off. The motion and the tenderness after is what makes you want to stab babies in the neck. Probably wouldn't be so bad if you had boring sex.
