The old ones you're referring to are the One S, and the One X. They made a new one that just came out called the HTC ONE. no letters on the end.

But this will be pure AOSP and won't have the propensity for "beta features", if you catch my drift. I suspect Nexus stability but with expandable storage, although, I don't think it'll get Nexus like priority and have to go through the Samsung update channel, albeit faster than devices with TW.

Ahh, yeah, that sounds familiar now. They did get the One X

Is the AT&T version of the new One getting bad reviews too, or just certain carriers?

I've been on ip3gs now ip4, but going to make the switch to android looking forward to the next version of Note(Note-3 ?).

Big beautiful screen has become a need.
Small chance that Apple can make a solid competitor to the next gen Note.

Yeah, more stable of course, but I just don't see a need for an aosp version of a phone separately.

I think crapple set the precedent with the ip5, that being one handed operation. I don't see them getting any larger.

For those data hoarders like myself. I have a 32gig msd and the 10gigs on board mostly full... You can't get that much storage in a Nexus, unfortunately.

Most of my stuff is on google play music, and dropbox or box. Like 40gb worth of stuff. I've learned to deal with it. Having actual unlimited data sure does help.

I carry an iPhone 4 (personal) and an iPhone 5 (work). The 4 is due for an upgrade. I was eyeing the Note 2, but my mil just got one and I've been playing with it, and the UI sucks! Lots of actions take twice as many keystrokes or diving through menus vs the iPhone. The screen is dreamy, but it may actually be a little too big. Not sure what I'm gonna do. Is the UI/menu the same on the S4 as the Note 2? If so I think I may stay iPhone or use my upgrade to get an iPad or something.

Explain what you mean it takes twice as many actions? Are you referring to having to go into Apps, then select the app you want, instead of just scrolling thru the sceeens/pages like iPhone to see all apps?

For example, if you just snapped a pic, and you want to text it to someone...

With the iPhone, you just tap the square, choose MSM, and send it.

With the Note 2, you can't text from the pic. You have to start a text msg, then hit the paperclip, and fid the pic to send.

May seem trivial, but the iPhone UI just makes more sense to me.

my sII has a "share" option on pictures, I can pick photobucket, facebook, text, etc right there.

Does the note NOT have that function?

If it does, I couldn't find text in the options.

That may be one of the funny things about how it is setup, one "share" that is in the menu only has a couple options, but the share that pops up when you click it has all of them. It took me a week or two to get stuff figured out on mine.
