How much? It's a CLEAR home modem right? I might just take it off your hands.

Works fine in Richland Hills... Good for the price.

      Was crap in North Garland.

Just be sure the signal is there...

      Mileage may vary...

Yeah, the home one. Model number is WIXB-175. Find out if you can use it first before I offer to sell it, I don't want to give you it if you can't use it, lol.

Lyn tried the "on the go modem" for her laptop for work purposes. We were in her truck, right next to a tower and no signal. Rolled the windows down, and got 3 out 5 bars. It was a total POS in our opinion. Of course this was not home service however, so take it for what it's worth.

They suggested using it only in outdoor places, not confined within a vehicle... In the house, no service, walked outside with the laptop and got some. Really, windows can block your shitty ass service???

Your speeds will vary, and you will likely only see 6mbps download and it is REALLY shitty upload speeds(i think it was like .1-.3mbps) As someone else mentioned earlier their customer support has been complained about all over the web about being liars and thieves. My company was considering using the mobile ones for our field guys and let me try it out at home for a couple of weeks to see what I thought...Do your self a favor and find another service if you can.

I've taken mine to Killeen and San Antonio and it's worked fine in both.

I currently have it and it's horrible. Only reason is because the only other broadband option in our neighborhood is DSL and wanted to wait for charter or ATT U-verse to come out here. Chose clear for the no contract option. During the "winter storm" a couple days ago, I couldn't even get online. Literally, there was no connection. If there's a normal storm, the connection is so inconsistent it's pointless even trying to get on. While playing video games, you can see the connection strength go from 1 to 4 bars, back down to 1 every couple of seconds.

It might be tolerable for on the road, but for a home internet, it's horrible.

Parents have it and it sucks dick. The connection isn't consistent enough for my Dad's PS3 to even update itself, so I have to bring it to my house for updates. They are on the edge of the coverage area so it might be better towards the center, but they have both clear and a verizon card for when the clear isn't working (Mom has a home office and has to have internet). Being outside the city they don't have any other option besides satellite and that's outrageous.

Not sure how close you have to be to the towers, we were told we were .8 miles from one and 1.1 miles from another. The only way I could get ours to pick up more than one bar was to use a 25 foot ethernet cable, an extension cord, and place the modem outside on top of my carport. Even then, it jumped between no signal and 2 bars.

At the end of it all, we were supposed to have someone visit our house and see how our signal was inside, they made the usual "8am-3pm" time slot, except they never showed. After us calling for three more days, we were told he drove by and said the signal in our area was poor and that they would be canceling our contract, that we needed to return the modem for a refund. Never got the refund.

Five bars on your modem? We almost always show five bars on the modem, but the connection still sucks. It also always shows five bars on my wireless connection but every 5-10 minutes it has to reconnect, and very rarely can I stream a youtube video without having to pause it and wait for it to load.

No problems at all... or at least in the 5 months I've had it anyways.

                              You just suck. That's all....

It would work, but if I switch to CLEAR I want the modem with built-in WiFi. That way I won't have to run a separate router. Thanks for providing the model #.
