Your first mistake was buying a new vette, the hit they take in the first few years in ridiculous.

Chevy was very willing to let the '12s go for a good deal as the C7's were on the horizon ... I'm ok with by deal on the Vette and the 2013 Shelby - (don't get me wrong will be holding hard for some negotiated prices.)

Really interested in performance comments .....

        Looks .....

        resale ............

        etc ....

Throw a Kenne bell on the grand sport with ported heads, or LS7 heads and kick some ass! I'm a ford guy for sure and LOVE the GT500, but don't waste the money. If the vette was stock, I would say go for it, but, you will like the overall performance, feel, handling of a higher horsepower vette over the relatively sloppy GT500!

Roots style blowers on a c6 is a waste of time.. Bolt a centri on and make some power..

Keep the Vette. Figure out why it's down 150hp. Stomp mudhole in Shelby ass. Done.

For the money you spent on the GS, I'd have bought a Z06.

I'd keep the GS, I think with the money you'd spend on the Mustang upgrade, you could spend on the vette and be better off.

                  Does it taste like schnozberry?

That Grand Sport probably has the stock 5lbs boost where the GT500 has a built motor with 15lbs boost. Slap some long tubes and exhaust, cam, fuel system with a 3" pulley 9lbs boost / tune and you will easly be putting down 650+ to the wheels with stock heads on the Vette.

In this situation, I'd keep the vette and swap inductions. The handling is still superior, the braking is still superior, and you don't eat 15k.

Keep the vette and go turbo.

Does yours have magnetic ride control? The c6 GS is better in every category except stock hp and interior than the gt500.

Trade the GS for a badass Mustang II.

Not that the Vette is an Exotic by any means, but the GT500 in the end is just a Mustang.....

Keep the Vette and $15k. As others have said, change induction, headwork, long tubes.....

I love the Shelby, but not for 15K more than you've already spent. Spend part of that 15K on the Vette, and you'll be a happy camper. Or, go find a year or two old Z06 instead...
