Let's be fucking honest here. 15mph or 40mph, your dog ran in front of the truck. I HIGHLY doubt speed was an issue here.

Are you saying that your dog, seeing the dog across the street and the Fedex truck approaching, assumed the driver was doing 30mph and timed his stride accordingly?

Did the driver even attempt to stop? If not, would he have seen it going a couple MPH slower, and would he have made the judgement to slam on his brakes? That's probably the 3rd dog he has clipped this week.

After your done reporting the driver, be sure to call the local police and report yourself for almost causing an accident due to violating your local leash laws.

update: The dog is fine, not so much as a scratch on him. The vet gave him a clean bill of health after a few xrays and some poking and prodding. Said just to keep an eye on him for the next couple of days but not to worry to much.

I'm not in customer service anymore! I quit because I was tired of messing with people. I have never worked for fed sex but a place like it. Many ungrateful people out there. Added 10 yrs to my life by quitting

I don't think his dog getting hit was the issue, hence him saying "shit happens". I think his issue is the driver didn't stop after hitting the dog, even though he had to turn around and drive right back by.

The real issue is the speeding and lack of paying attention, we have a lot of kids that play in the road around there because it's a cul-de-sac.
