          • when I called roadside assistance I didn't know where I was so they have no record of the car being at any particular location.
The insurance company had a record of me calling in for roadside service at 763 West Lamar Texaco station.
            So which is it?

The second of the two. I can't explain it all because I don't remember all the details. Apparently I made several calls, talked to several people, and said several different things. My girlfriend's father, just today, said to her "Well he said he was at 763 West Lamar", and I walk down there and there it was.

the car is registered to my girlfriend's father. So he was having conversations with the insurance company behind the scenes. Yes I agree the whole thing was Anne is very confusing, and any reasonable person would think that the whole story is hogwash. But it happened exactly as I am telling it. the purpose of my post was not to entertain nor to tell lies, but to ask for assistance. And god bless all of you who PMed me with offers for help.

Jesus Christ. Went to the Dr. today and took 1 for my back and just woke up from a 3 hour nap. I don't even see how you could feed yourself or go into public on that much.

Let's just say that for the past week I have not been his favorite person. But all is forgiven now that the car has been recovered. And as far as it all making sense, there is no way in the world I could dream up such a bizarre tale. It is what it is, and I've not got the energy to continually defend its validity. But it wouldn't be good ole dfwstangs if the story wasn't picked apart from every angle, questioned, doubted, and scrutinized to the nth degree.
