Ford all day every day!!!"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

Gas truck, 96 and up, Chevy all day long. I've driven Customers Fords, Chevy's, & Dodges over the years, and chevy always has my vote. I can't compare anything newer than the Junk 3 valve 5.4's as I don't have any customers with newer fords that have been in for repair much past 08 or so.
If you do your own wrenching the chevy is the easiest on maintance in my opinion. The ford and dodge stuff is a pain because the plugs are all sunk in the heads and the coil on plug along with cab forward makes for much more labor. I can't think of a single Ls coil failure to date, Fords all the time.

On a regular cab, I would get a 2013 Texas edition, lower and keep those wheels. I have had an 07 and now have a 2013. Both were crew cabs and for stock with the stock T.E. wheels, I think they are great looking trucks. My 07s transmission did go out at 40k but it got a brand new one with the 100k warranty. Never any other problems that I had.
