  • Selling the house, help me out

We are looking to list the house in the next month if we can finish touching up everything. I'm not looking forward to the buying process again since the first one was a pain in the ass of a hurry up and wait deal. For those that have been thru it what should I expect during selling? I'm thinking of cleaning the house out and being in an apartment since I sleep during the day and trying to show it with me sleeping will undoubtedly suck.

Listing agents, how does this work? I was thinking of using the same woman that helped us buy the house since she was a nice older lady that explained a lot, but my wife was contacted by a friend that just started and wants to list it. Would you go with a new person that's eager to start or an older one that knows the ropes?

We're using a chick that I've known for a while that's just getting in the business. She put our house out on all the sites and just letting the internet do it's thing. It's been up for a week today and we're about to have our 6th showing this afternoon. No bites yet, but hopefully soon

right now, if your house is in good shape, a decent area, and priced right, you should have it sold in a matter of weeks

This. If all of those are met, you will have your pick of offers.

My wife is a realtor and she said there is not enough houses on the market to meet the demand. You should have no problem selling it if its in good condition.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

To show the house, the buyer 's realtor should call yours to see an appointment. This will allow your realtor to call you and tell you what time you should be out of your house so it can be shown.

They all use a service for this now

Just put an offer on our fourth house

House went on the market at 11am yesterday, we saw it at 6pm, put an offer in at 7pm, there were four offers by 10pm last night.

Same thing with the other three houses we put offers on.

                      It's crazy out there.

That sucks there are so many offers so quick. We are working on a house right now that is a short sale. There are 13 backup offers if we dont go forward.

Is it for a rental? Don't you still have a hunk of land to build on?

If the housing market is on fire why even use a realtor? Just list it on all the websites that they will list it on.
