meh, that sort of thing won't hurt them that much in the middle of the city full of IR, TV and radio signals. Still makes you feel good though when you switch it off. Kind of a placebo before it detonates anyways. So I get the logic.

Thanks for all the updates here. Internet and wall outlets are hard to come by in the Dubai airport.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

Bitch will be in a orange jumpsuit on an island that starts with Git and ends with Mo before morning.

Im sure you know, but most bomb squads I've dealt with have radios that operate in the milliwatts - a normal police handheld is 3-5+ watts and mobile is 35-50.. rf in close proximity is a real danger..but maybe they have a shitty analog radio sys and dont want thwir oops going out to every rookie with a trunking scanner or a internet connection.

have a safe trip (home?) bro.

                      • Exactly, our IS radios are extra $ and a normal beat cop usually doesnt carry one. One of the agencies I work with has all of their swat/explosive teams on regular non IS radios, only the bomb techs have 'safe' stuff. both of yall probably use the stuff I work on.

I did when I was a HAZMAT Tech in Iraq. They were Motorola, but can't remember the model.

it seems that the Emirates do not approve of 4chan. It is blocked. I did scroll through their think tank pics on imgur but don't see these two dudes discussed in their photos.

I am far from an IED expert so I will assume you are correct. Turning off radios is one of those things we preach but then again, we use unencrypted motorola 650's(??).
