Why wasn't he recognized on day one by the FBI if they had his pic an obviously some sort of file on him?

Hindsight is 20/20, and they will probably never release ALL the info they had on him because it would make them look horrible.

yea... seems russia gave us a heads up. i bet they checked him out but he was clean. probably assumed if he was a threat, it was to russia [chechnya vs russia.. that might make some sense], not us.

the big mistake was to not deport him on his visa when he was arrested for assault in that domestic issue.
