Looking at a 2003 diesel with 160k. Are there any credit unions or banks that will finance. Trying to take advantage of low rates.

Someone just bought mine, a 03 with 147k miles and financed it.
There are many things you need to look into when buying a used diesel. If I were you I'd have a monitor in hand to check the vitals on the test drive, or call Eric in my sig and see if you can meet the guy at his shop.

Both of our loans are through USAA - I don't recall entering any information about the vehicle on the approval. Just entered in some info, the $ amount, and term I wanted.Originally posted by davbrucasI want to like Slow99 since people I know say he's a good guy, but just about everything he posts is condescending and passive aggressive.
Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Not exactly the same type of truck but I bought my 1998 GMC K1500 Z71 used from Steakley Chevrolet's used lot as it was being traded in with 98k miles on it (it really was a highway vehicle and was in damn near showroom cond) in 2003..my credit union financed the $13,900 price plus a 2yr 24k mile warranty (total was about 15 grand) at 4.9% APR. I paid it off in less than a year. Best vehicle I've ever owned.

Credit union is probably ur best bet. I use members credit union. 2years ago they loaned me full value on my wifes 7year old lincoln with over a 100k on it when we needed some cash. They would only go three years on note. Not because of miles but age.
