After that video I cannot see anyone in that plant surviving, I imagine it will take a few days to ID anyone that was there. NBC said it blew the second level off of an apartment complex. Prayers are with everyone in the town and all those helping.

"the director of the nursing home in West just said that 60-70 people are dead that he knows of"

possibly 60 to 70 dead. Fox 4 is getting that from the director of West EMS>

You know it's bad when passengers on a commercial airliner say they just felt the shock wave as they flew over West en route from San Antonio to Dallas when it exploded.

I'm finally getting in touch with a bunch of my family that live in Whitney, Aquilla, Hillsboro, etc. They are all saying they thought a nuke went off. Blew a couple windows in around Aquilla at one relatives house. I haven't heard from my relatives in Abbot yet.

We were getting parts sorted out at my shop in Venus and the whole building shook. Apparently there is another tank on fire that they fear will blow. A friend runs a gym 3 miles away, said the lights flickered and then the doors blew off, power is out and they have setup triage on the high school football field. Lots of injury from flying shards of glass from blown out windows.

They just said on the news cell phone tower was damaged, making mobile calls fail to the area.

Do they have enough emergency response personnel? Do they have enough supplies? We're always at the mercy of range fires out here when it's dry, so I go into autopilot worrying about things like that in this kind of situation.

News just reported that they are "calling anyone and everyone in that can help".

My guess is they are way shorthanded on supplies.

-Correction - now they report that there are too many vehicles and are gridlocked..........
