  • Looks like a jihadist magazine published a couple how-to's on making a pressure cooker bomb back in 2010.

CNN) -- The second edition of an online al Qaeda magazine has surfaced with frank essays, creatively designed imagery and ominous terror tips such as using a pickup truck as a weapon and shooting up a crowded restaurant in Washington.

The magazine is called "Inspire" and intelligence officials believe that an American citizen named Samir Khan, now living in Yemen, is the driving force behind the publication.

The latest edition was emerged on the 10th anniversary of the suicide attack on the guided missile destroyer USS Cole -- struck as it refueled in Aden, Yemen. The first edition came out in July.

Christopher Boucek, a Yemen expert with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, said the timing is no coincidence.

"It also comes on the heels of a busy week for al Qaeda in Yemen. They released an hourlong video last week. There was also an attack on a British Convoy in Sanaa [Yemen's capital] last week. And an audiotape was released two days ago. Al Qaeda in Yemen is good at amplifying its message and that shows the organization is still active, that they're still able to function," he said.

An article titled "The Ultimate Mowing Machine" calls for using a pickup truck as a "mowing machine, not to mow grass but mow down the enemies of Allah."

The article says that such a plan could be implemented in countries where people back the "Israeli occupation of Palestine, the American invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq or countries that had a prominent role in the defamation of Muhammad."

It said a four-wheel-drive pickup truck is needed -- "the stronger the better."

"To achieve maximum carnage, you need to pick up as much speed as you can while still retaining good control of your vehicle in order to maximize your inertia and be able to strike as many people as possible in your first run," the article says.

Another tip in the magazine includes the use of firearms.

"For this choose the best location. A random hit at a crowded restaurant in Washington DC at lunch hour, for example, might end up knocking out a few government employees.

"Targeting such employees is paramount and the location would also give the operation additional media attention."

An idea in the first edition, "Make a Bomb in the Kitchen of Your Mom," is touched on again.

"The pressurized cooker should be placed in crowded areas and left to blow up. More than one of these could be planted to explode at the same time. However, keep in mind that the range of the shrapnel in this operation is short range so the pressurized cooker or pipe should be placed close to the intended targets and should not be concealed from them by barriers such as walls."

Adam Raisman, senior analyst at SITE Intelligence Group, said the "very well-presented magazine" covers a variety of topics, is meant to reach a wider audience, and tries to be tongue-in-cheek in its presentation.

"The magazine has suggestions, ideology it attempts to instill in the reader, and it includes tips for technology," Raisman said.

Boucek said the "big takeaway" is that the magazine is focusing on what the individual can do.

"The message to the lone actor is to be patient -- that you can do it -- you can participate in this," he said.

There are writings in the magazine by Yemeni-American cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, who U.S. authorities have linked to the failed attempt to blow up a U.S.-bound jetliner in December. Samir Khan wrote an article titled "I Am Proud to be a Traitor to America."

There is also recycled material. The latest issue includes recent commentary from Adam Yahiye Gadahn, who is an American, about President Barack Obama.

          • Muslim extremists throughout the Arab world celebrated the bombings at Monday’s Boston Marathon.

Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad and others reportedly danced and cheered in the streets of Gaza, even passing out sweets upon learning of the death and destruction in Boston, the Israeli News Agency said.

The head of a major Jordanian Muslim extremist group said he was “happy to see the horror in America,” The Associated Press reported Tuesday.

The al-Qaida linked, Somali terrorist group Al-Shabaab celebrated in its own way, by gloating on Twitter at 2:00 am Tuesday morning, PJ Media reported:

After the announcement of the bloodshed in Boston, Shumukh al-Islam forum posted a well-known rallying cry from former al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden.

“Urgent // Casualties and Injuries in an Explosion that Shook the US State of Boston, and a State of Panic and Chaos Spreads Across America in General,” said the first scrolling message.

That was followed by this bin Ladin quote: “I swear by Allah the Great, who raised the sky without pillars, that America and those who live in America will not dream of security until we live it as a reality in Palestine and until all the disbelieving armies are expelled from the land of Muhammad, Allah’s peace and prayer be upon him.”

Below are some comments made on the popular jihadist forum, known to be a “primary source for official messages from al-Qaeda,” Site Intel Group reported.

            [Ibn Talha al-Muhajir]

Allah is Great, praise be to Allah. America is ruined. Allah is Great, Allah is Great, Allah is Great.

            [al-'Amal al-Salih]

Allah is Great!!! O Allah, put fear in their hearts and make them die from fear and horror.

            [Muhammad Abu Bakr]

Allah is Great, Allah is Great, Allah is Great Two explosions were heard in Boston in America!! Six people were injured!!

            [THEISM]

Yes, they are really explosions, days ago. Almost a week ago, I read news that one of the brothers will carry out bombings in America, and some of the brothers criticized him for giving information like that on the jihadi forums. Allah knows best.

            [al-Faqir Ila Allah]

Allah is Great, Allah is Great…Panic and deployment of anti-terror forces… in Boston… after two explosions?! #America!!

            [THEISM]

We ask Allah that this is the start before the storm. May Allah give you the glad tiding of Paradise for this joyous news.

            [Khuwater 'Asifa]

By Allah, even if no one is killed in these explosions, the fear that entered the hearts of the millions of Americans who watched the marathon live on television is enough.

            [Deraa3]

Allah knows best, it is a perfectly planned series of explosions targeting certain cities in America! It might be the start of big coming operations, Allah permitting..I ask Allah that Qaedat al-Jihad is the one responsible…

            [al-Zubeir al-Maqhur]

Every drop of American blood that falls is part of the retaliation for the tortured Muslims all over the world…We ask the Almighty to make these explosions one of them.

Then some asshole reporter tries to spit out a question... I DONT GET THAT. after a woman forces all of that out of herself, you see her walking back into her home crying. How do you try and ask her a question.

                • CAIRO – Feeling the brunt of the 9/11 attacks, Muslims worldwide have raced to social media websites to pray that perpetrators of a deadly bombing in Boston would not be Muslims.

“Please don’t be a Muslim,” Hend Amry from Libya wrote on Twitter cited by The Washington Post.

Jenan Moussa, a journalist for Dubai-based Al-Aan TV, retweeted the message “Please don’t be a ‘Muslim’” and added that the plea was “the thought of every Muslim right now.”
                  US Muslims Condemn Boston Attacks

At least three people were killed and scores injured when two explosions rocked near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday, April 14.

US officials said that there was no information yet available about those behind the attack and their motives.

Yet, Muslims, who still feel the brunt of the 9/11 attacks, were worried that they could be easily blamed for the attack.

“Fact: Terrorism has no religion, race, or nationality. Standing against terror should unite us all,” Nervana Mahmoud, another Twitter user, posted.

Muslim worries maximized after Fox News contributor Erik Rush tweeted that all Muslims should be killed in response to the Boston Marathon bombings.

"Everybody do the National Security Ankle Grab! Let's bring more Saudis in without screening them! C'mon! #bostonmarathon,” Erik Rush tweeted on Monday.

When a responder tweeted, "Are you ALREADY BLAMING MUSLIMS??" Rush responded: "Yes, they're evil. Let's kill them all."

Though he later tweeted that he was being sarcastic, he faced a firestorm of condemnations from Americans.

“Apparently someone at Fox News tweeted "Kill All Muslims" after the explosions. As a Boston resident, and as a human being, I'm disgusted,” Chris Stedman tweeted.

“A Black man kills, he's a menace to society. Muslims kill, he's a terrorist. But a White man kills, he's psychologically unstable,” a twitter user @chrisrockoz tweeted.

                  Prayers

Despite immediate worries, some positive reactions from non-Muslims assured the Muslim minority in the US.

“Non Muslims defending Muslims. I was surprised at all the positive tweets. We've come a long way since 9/11. This really is beautiful :'),” a twitter user @dalu3a_93 wrote.

“I respect all the Non-Muslims that understand that Muslims aren't the ones to blame for the bombing,” another twitter user, @Love_Walaa_, wrote.

A Dubai-based social media consultant named Iyad El-Baghdadi tweeted, “Went to my ‘Islamists’ list; good to know that most comments are sympathetic. Only a couple crazies out of 200-something.”

Other Muslims took to Twitter to pray for victims and show support for fellow Americans.

“As a Marathoner and Human being, I’m devastated. Prayers to the victims,” Qasim Rashid, the chairman of the Muslim Writer’s Guild of America, tweeted.

“Whoever the culprit, no religion justifies this act of violence. We must remain united against extremism.”

Though there are no official estimates, the US is home to from 7-8 million Muslims.

An earlier Gallup poll found that the majority of Americans Muslims are loyal to their country and optimistic about their future in the United States.

Muslim scholars have repeatedly condemned terrorism as running counter against the teachings of Islam.

In 2008, thousands of Muslim scholars from across India denounced terrorism as a violation of Islamic teachings, calling it the “biggest crime as per Qur'an."

Another Britain-based Muslim scholar, Sheikh Tahir ul-Qadri, issued a 600-page fatwa in May 2011, condemning suicide bombings, kidnappings and the killing of innocent people as “absolutely against the teachings of Islam”.

                  • And another from CNN:

(CNN) -- The Pakistani Taliban denied any involvement in a double bombing at the Boston Marathon that killed at least three people, spokesman Ihsanullah Ihsan said Wednesday.
"Wherever we find Americans we will kill them, but we don't have any connection with the Boston Explosions," Ihsan said.
The Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for the Times Square bombing in 2010.

How fucked up is our world that known terrorist groups have to denouce and distance themselves from certain activites?

"Yeah, we want to kill all of you fuckers, but that one thing... that was a bit much. We we would never do that. Death to infidels."
