The national guard and Army Reserve in the area are having issues calling up the guys to report for duty because everything is shut down. The NCO's are asking on USArmyWTF to spread it where they can that all reservists report to their first line supervisors.

Personally I do not find it odd that they were there. I think the last white rock marathon I was at they had some. Just being cautious (which we see how good it does) I think.

IF there was a credible threat, and law enforcement was acting to follow up on it, what that says is that on some level the system was working but that sometimes nothing can be done. It should not immediately lead to the assumption that something nefarious, beyond the actions of the perp(s), was planned.

IF there was a credible threat, and law enforcement was acting to follow up on it, what that says is that on some level the system was working but that sometimes nothing can be done. It should not immediately lead to the assumption that something nefarious, beyond the actions of the perp(s), was planned.

I agree. For all we know every event gets some threats of a certain degree, we can't just halt/cancel/reschedule everything. Its a tough balance.
