    everything is coded.

    device = cell phone
    trigger = keys
    package = penis (standby)
    rocket = penis (ready)

    EOD = Explosives ordinance disposal (used for breaking "devices", taking "triggers" or cutting off "rockets")

    Bearcat = armored vehicle, strong as a cat, fuzzy as a bear.

    EDIT 157 11:55: Apparently the "jumper" was not a person, but an area where a possible bomb may have been which explains why an EOD was sent to the location.

    not everyone just steeped aside and allowed entrance.
    You didn't hear those numerous gunshots around the area with the suspect was not in the area?

    I think everyone did step aside and allow them access. If someone had not, we'd have heard about it by now.

    It also begs the question of, what would have happened had someone stood their ground, and told them to pound sand? I have not yet seen where they have taken a stance one way or the other, on whether or not martial law was declared. We'd probably have some dead homeowners. Or they would have overpowered, detained, and searched anyways. Then said homeowner could file suit against every agency involved, and get hood rich.

    I'm also saddened, but not surprised, that so many people not only gave up their rights, but cheered LE on for bending them over and violating them. That's a bunch of horseshit right there, and Democrats and Republicans alike should be furious about it. I get that they were trying to find suspected terrorists. But fuck you in the neck, you aren't coming in my house without resistance.
    No, I had let that slip (forgot) from post too - the second part. Basically martial law was declared and people just cowered.

    It was a good chance for me to explain to my wife why some of us are really getting pissed off. It was a perfect example of how well the government can protect us.

    Understand, I'm not pissed at the individual cops on the ground. Just the system as a whole, it proves everything that's been said over and over again.

    Had that happened in any gun friendly state, there's a solid chance the bombers would have been dropped by a couple deer rifles.

    In this day and age, I figured we could do a lot better. Hell, back in the 60s could've had some gomers with some hounds and done the same thing once they got a scent. I was watching the news and admittedly I was happy they were probably going to get the last guy - but I'm watching all the people standing around and thinking about the tax money.

    I know that may not be a popular opinion, and I concur they needed to catch them..etc - just we spend so much to make these organizations more efficient/faster/better and it sure did not seem like it was to me.

    Yeah, even heard one guy talking about them lighting a pressure cooker bomb and throwing it during gunfight with police, he said it went about 20 yards, same guy said something about grenades. I can't remember where I read it, though.
