We were recommended to do the c-section due to my wives size and the size of the baby. He weighed in at 9lbs 15oz and she is pretty small, he wasn't in breach, but it's still extremely dangerous when the head is too big to enter the hips.

Thats a big baby. We had the same situation for our first and he was 8 lbs 15 oz. 21 inches.
