Probably more loaded guns within 5 miles of the track this weekend than most states have at any given time. Yet not one person will die from a gunshot wound there this weekend. Yep, the NRA is at fault for everything.

I noticed during the 4pm news on Ch 4, there was an ad for the race. No mention at all was made that the NRA was the race sponsor. I don't recall ever hearing any other NASCAR race where they do this. It's always the Walmart 500 or whatever.

I commented on it at the time to my wife. We both wondered if this was more than a coincidence. Then I see this thread and the article on the blaze.

Looks like your suspicions are coming true and are dead on. Seems like Fox is trying its best not to mention the sponsor of the race or even call it by its name. Notice all the tight shots showing as little of the infield logo of the race as possible? The lack of the race logo on the screen anywhere, but no lack of Budweiser, Lowes, Geico, etc.

I saw this earlier about the traditional pole winner getting a shotgun and the shooting of the pistols by the race winner.......
