At his age his likes and dislikes will change overnight. Encourage the good ones, discourage the bad ones and let them progress naturally.

He is doing this as a way to have time with YOU. Keep up the bonding. Keep it fun. Don't go overboard. Spend the time with HIM, not doing something you think he might like.
