  • New toy arrived today, help me find locations...

Garrett AT Pro Metal Detector arrived today, woohoo!

    I'ma be a pro-fesh-e-naal treasure hunter!

But seriously, anyone here know of any cool (and legal) places to do some hunting?

I'll be heading down to Bluff Dale to my family's land when I have a chance, but I want some places in the Denton/Corinth area to check out as well.

Just watch this show and you'll learn everything you need to know:

Watch full episodes, specials and documentaries with National Geographic TV channel online.

Seriously though, those dudes come off as total dip shits.

LMAO!!!! I watched that episode the other night, shit cracked me up.

In all seriousness, any public park or open area where something siginificant may have once been (battlefields, empty building lots provided it's not trespassing, etc).

LMAO, I knew I would get some awesome responses.

On the for realz though, I wasn't sure whether metal detecting would be legal in public parks, since they are still maintained/cared for by the city.

I see people doing it all the time in Frisco/Plano.

There's an engagement ring somewhere on the side of 183 that's been there a few years if it hasn't already been found.

                            Cool.

When I find some pirate treasure I'll be sure to post up pictures of my savings account...from my new boat of course.
