  • Bitten by the RC bug...

After digging out my old RC10 and a boat I had that I have revived and playing with lately, I've gotten the itch for more. I went into Hobbytown and drooled over the latest tech out there. They had this 1/8th buggy with a weedeater motor in it that looked like the most fun I could have with my clothes on. I don't think I want to mess with any of the Nitro as it just looks troublesome and messy. The brushless with lipo's look like the ticket. Besides Mike's and the one in Garland, are there any other tracks around or club meets I could see first hand how some of these perform?

Need details, as that just looks like a Slash (with what is probably a 3S lipo brushless system).

Brushless castle black mamba setup, upgraded everything. I run it on a 2s, it needs to be reprogrammed and could use two new tires.

Someone mentioned in another thread about having an RC GTG. I'm down, just have to find a place where everyone can play, cars, trucks, buggies, planes, Heli's, boats...

I am finding there is a bunch of new terminology that I can't figure out WTF people are talking about in the forums. What is a "slash" truck? What is this about "reprogramming"? What is an SCTE?

Slash is the trophy truck model that is made by Traxxas. You can program some setups, usually the more expensive ones, it lets you adjust steering zero points, throttle tip in, etc..

I gave away my mustang this morning so I'll be moving to get closer to public transit.

There's a new place in Irving. They turned the old beltline station into a rc track. Big dirt track in back and the old go cart track is a road course.

I recondition headlights on most cars for $50.00. If interested shoot me a pm.
