How are the school districts? Looking at buying a house in that area, and want to know if the schools are good for when I eventually have some little turd-machines.

The houses we are looking at are generally in the northern part of Carrollton, but we aren't ruling out a steal at a different location. When I was in high school, Carrollton schools were good, but that's been almost 15 years ago now, so I don't know how much it's changed.

The schools in this area used to be great, highly decorated and well respected. But they have been going downhill. Loss of funding, teachers becoming fed up and leaving, bad teachers, bad principals. I don't know if you care about this but Caucasians are now a minority in that school district. Just some food for thought. There are still 1 or 2 good schools at each level, but the rest are headed downhill.

That was the case when I was in school. That's no longer the case. Kids aren't taught material anymore. They learn to memorize tests. Completely your choice, and your business, but I'd consider a smaller house that would allow you to afford a private school.
I'm sure the teachers on the board will back me up on this, because they are just as fed up over it as anyone.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.
