That's a double negative... You have one who is a lazy stoned slob or one that will be calling in sick all the time due to hang overs and such. Both type of people are dipshits. I wouldn't hire either.
Way to stereotype. I don't smoke anymore and haven't for years, but I smoked everyday for 20 years and often it was from the time I got up until I went to bed. During that time I had a 4.0 in high school, got a BSME from the University of California at Berkeley, worked as a robotics engineer and then a telecom engineer, worked out all the time, etc. Just because there are dipshits that smoke weed doesn't mean that weed smokers are automatically lazy dipshits.

Jared is right. You want to see a battalion of functioning alcoholics, go to an auto parts conference. Although we did have one in my store at one point that shit his pants while working... That is the exception, however. It's a source of pride to be able to handle their booze to most heavy drinkers.
Never been on welfare, never had government financial assistance and only had unemployment once and that's because it took 3 months to find my next job due to location.
I have no accidents on my driving record. Been pulled over a couple times for stupid stuff like tint and license plate trim while blazed yet had no issues because I don't act "blazed".
I don't smoke at work or before work. I have a decent level of education and have worked for NASA. According to IQ testing (don't put much into that test) I am "genius" level of intelligence and I don't commit crimes.... other than smoking.... which shouldn't be a crime.
I have always been for legalization of it just for the simple facts that its the least harmful feel good thing out there. When is the last time you heard about some "stoned on weed" driver killing someone? Or "He was stoned out of his mind and beat me and the kids" or "Man held up gas station at gunpoint because he was high on marijuana."?
Shit needs to be legal, more so when you realize why it was made illegal in the first place.
Good judgment comes from bad decisions and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.
Lol, that's pretty much it. Dude must have underestimated a fart. This was about ten years ago. Guy would go on a bank run(which takes 20 minutes at most), and 3 hours later a driver would spot him sleeping it off in his car behind the abandoned store next door.
I want to like Slow99 since people I know say he's a good guy, but just about everything he posts is condescending and passive aggressive.
Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.
I have never smoked and I am 36 years old. Just never had the desire and when I did, I had friends that smoked but talked me out of it. I drank, a lot, back in the day before taking an overseas job where we can't. I still will have a few beers but that is the extent. I have to maintain a perfect record to stay in my line of work anyways.
Now, with that said, I am for making it legal. Just tax it like cigs and make it a regulated item unless homegrown for personal use. Dealer on the corner out of the passenger side of the Lac, needs to get fined but not imprisoned unless he has other violations that warrant an arrest.
Our prisons are loaded to the ceilings with possession charges. Kick them fucks free and stop creating carreer criminals out of them in the system. Fine them, can't pay the fine then give them community service, can't do that either, sit in jail.
It's less harmful/dangerous/addictive than a shitload of legal drugs, so the prohibition is pointless. My favorite quote on this subject matter, from our 16th president.
"Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded."
-Abraham Lincoln
I would blaze up if I could, but smoking everyday makes people stupid. Haven't you ever dealt with a pot dealer? That's the main reason I haven't smoked in so long, I don't want to deal with them.
Now, if I could grow my own, my garden would get much larger!

I don't think I would want to be high all of the time.. No more than I would want to be drunk all of the time. I like the clarity of soberness for the most part, with just brief "vacations".
Hopefully it becomes legal because 100 for a 1/4oz is killing me.
pot head problems
and you think it will get cheaper after they legalize it? It might for a little bit until the full weight of the progressive tax kicks in. Progressive over time so it is not such a huge stink and sting up front while you buy it over the counter.
I can see both sides of the arguement. I know lots of people who smoke habitually and become content with stagnancy and lose their motivation to better themselves. On the other hand there are tons and tons of productive, contributing members of society who just so happen to enjoy a puff of worry-be-gone at the end of a hard work week.
As with alcohol, there are people who can pop a 6er in the fridge and pick it apart one at a time, as well as those who take the 6er home and drink it down before it has a chance to get warm. Being able to control yourself is the major differentiating factor IMO.
