Lol, that's pretty much it. Dude must have underestimated a fart. This was about ten years ago. Guy would go on a bank run(which takes 20 minutes at most), and 3 hours later a driver would spot him sleeping it off in his car behind the abandoned store next door.

I smoke. Will always smoke. Don't drink.
Never been on welfare, never had government financial assistance and only had unemployment once and that's because it took 3 months to find my next job due to location.
I have no accidents on my driving record. Been pulled over a couple times for stupid stuff like tint and license plate trim while blazed yet had no issues because I don't act "blazed".
I don't smoke at work or before work. I have a decent level of education and have worked for NASA. According to IQ testing (don't put much into that test) I am "genius" level of intelligence and I don't commit crimes.... other than smoking.... which shouldn't be a crime.
I have always been for legalization of it just for the simple facts that its the least harmful feel good thing out there. When is the last time you heard about some "stoned on weed" driver killing someone? Or "He was stoned out of his mind and beat me and the kids" or "Man held up gas station at gunpoint because he was high on marijuana."?
Shit needs to be legal, more so when you realize why it was made illegal in the first place.

Guest repliedJared is right. You want to see a battalion of functioning alcoholics, go to an auto parts conference. Although we did have one in my store at one point that shit his pants while working... That is the exception, however. It's a source of pride to be able to handle their booze to most heavy drinkers.

It should be pretty obvious that views are changing when even states are making it available and/or legal to a certain limit.
It's just not viewed any longer as the devil's grass in which the government wants us to see it.
Tax it in stores and let folks grow their own for personal use.

Heck, you're wrong on the drinking thing, too. Being in the sales industry, I have always been around some hardcore alcoholics. Very few of them call in a lot due to being hungover. The ones that do get shitcanned pretty quick. The majority maintains, shows up, sometimes still drunk, but they can still function. I've been known to drink excessively on a weeknight, and I always show up, hurting or not. Once again, you have irresponsible people who are going to call in a lot regardless of the fact that they drink. You can't accurately turn it around and say that if they drink they will be that type of person.
And oh ya, boozers and smokers rule this bitch!!!Last edited by jluv; 04-05-2013, 10:44 AM.

IDK if that's a sign of the country becoming more liberal or just a combination of other factors.
First, I think that as a population percentage, more people in the country have at least tried pot at some point in their life. Even if only some minor "experimentation" at least desensitizes and removes some of the stigma.
Second, I think that there is a lot more honest education out there on the subject. People aren't as quick to believe the government's propaganda and misinformation about marijuana use.
Third, I think that more and more people are of the mind of "what do I care if it is not impacting me".
I also hate this being linked to being a 'liberal" or "conservative" issue. I have many opinions that could be identified as one or the other, which would often compete or conflict with the overall party's agenda.
