  • Infiniti G35 Sedans?

I'm really interested in these right now and I'm going to go check a few out here soon.

I'm just searching around to hear the good & bad of these.

Currently looking at a few 2008 G35 Sedans.

My wife has one and it has been a good car. Our neighbors also have one a year model newer and it has been good to them. One thing I will say is that we have both had a hell of a time keeping an alignment. The front ends seem to like to chop tires.

Isn't there a fix for this from the aftermarket I thought I saw something about it on the G35 forum I was looking at ?

Those people don't know shit about cars..

The Maxima is FWD and significantly larger. It is on the same platform as the Quest minivan..

The G is based on the same RWD platform as the 350z. The G sedan is just on a longer wheelbase version of that platform.

I had a 2008 G35S and traded it for a 2010 G37S. I love these cars. They have a good amount of power and handle well. They are very fun to drive. I have a 2000 Mustang GT that I almost never drive because the G is more fun. It's just as fast, handles better, and is way more confortable. I would recomend getting one with the sport package. It has bigger brakes, a better rear end, the fronth bumper is more sporty, it has paddle shifters, 18" wheels, and better bucket seats. I think the suspension is also tuned more for performance than the regular version.

As far as alignment issues go, that's the way Infiniti sets the car up for handling. It will eat through tires and they are a weird size so there is not a lot of replacement options. It will cost around a grand to replace all 4 tires.

Alright, tire & alignment issues I see...alot like my wifes BMW 325CI, it eats tires like crazy as well.
I didn't know about that and I'm not sure I want to worry about those costs frequently. Is this common on all the sedans?

The wife has a 08 G35 Sedan, bought it new. It's been a great car but it's had alot of alignment issues too, which eats the tires. It's being traded here soon on a 08 M3 Sedan.
You remember the stories John use to tell us about the the three chinamen playing Fantan? This guy runs up to them and says, "Hey, the world's coming to an end!" and the first one says, "Well, I best go to the mission and pray," and the second one says, "Well, hell, I'm gonna go and buy me a case of Mezcal and six whores," and the third one says "Well, I'm gonna finish the game." I shall finish the game, Doc.

As far as I know, it's been like that on all G's, coups and sedans. I think you can have it aligned for better tread life, but you sacrafice handling. I don't know how much you drive, but I have to buy new tires between 15k and 20k miles. That's every 15 to 20 months for me.

got an 04 350z that used to eat tires.

Get adjustable upper control arms for the front and buy lifetime alignments thru firestone fixed my problem just have it aligned for free everytime you get oil changed.

Also these cars will hit 300k+ if you take care of em but look to dump about 1k for tires and 500+ for spark plugs.
