If she is leaning towards the Equinox, why not just go ahead and get a full on minivan... To me the Equinox is as close as you can get to a MV without it actually being labled a MV...

I'm not an Equinox fan, but the Flex is WAY closer to a mini van.....

We like our '12 Explorer. I would have held out for the sport if I knew it was in the works. :grrr: 25mpg is a pipe dream though unless you want to get run over. Ours averages 19mpg, which I don't consider bad for this size vehicle. I was able to get 25-26mpg, but it was driving 55mpg on some backroads. Realistic freeway driving I never get above 22mpg. Lots of room and gadgets, and drives nice. I forced the wife to check into Flex's first, but it felt like driving a truck.

My wife likes the Flex. I think they are goofy as fuck, like a stretched Scion.

I'm looking at the MKX.

I drive a 2012 Ford Edge Limited Ecoboost for work. I drive 150-200 miles a day and I avg 23-25 mpg. It has plenty of power of power, has all the creature comforts I could ever want, and it looks great too.

I really enjoy driving it.

Yeah, try driving a 500hp rear wheel drive vehicle in 12+ inches of snow in the middle of winter here in the hills of PA.
