Rick Perry urged that all prosecutors obtain a CHL

I may stand corrected on this. The story on 820 did flip back and forth while I was in the garage, and I'll bet your right. I should pay closer attention. I should have known that Watkins is too busy with his own shenanigans than to worry about stuff like that.

watkins is a good friend of my cousin, former prosecuting attorney for dallas co. That dude is fuckin shifty as hell at work but outside he is a cool ass dude. I have met quite a few of the judges/attorneys for dallas county at my cousin's parties. its weird getting drunk with them and everyone leaving more than tipsy at the same time

Watkins has a strict policy against this.

Yeah. As i stated, it was a sound bite with Watkins followed by Rick Perry and me not paying attention. I'm guessing his policy could change if those guys start targeting folks out of his office...

The federal prosecuter just steeped down for security reasons.

Perhaps they all should walk. The cops too. I'm sure everything will be just fine...

Walking away would be like negotiating with terrorists. If they walk away from this then they'll be making a statement that if you're violent enough then you won't be prosecuted.

                      Sorry, you missed my sarcasm...
A few postings above thought the killing was acceptable because prosecutors "fu%K" people over all the time and the justice system doesn't work...
Not that there hasn't been some problems, but as a whole, we have a good justice system here in the US...

You sound like a man who has never been falsely charged with a crime that cost yourself a few hundred grand to defend against.

FYI; we do not have a justice justice system in this country, any and all pretext of that ended in the mid 80s. We now have a legal system and unless you are loaded you had better pray that you never get caught up in it for any reason.

I don't deny there are problems, but agreeing with killing people that are only "guilty" by association or the fact that they are an "official" is stupid and short sighted. That's like saying because 1 mechanic screwed someone over that they are all crooks. That's the logic I am seeing here and its stupid.

Who do you know that's spent "a few hundred grand" to defend themselves?

Most counties DAs offices offer a diversion program that is offered for first time offenders of minor offense. If you successfully complete it your case is dismissed. Doesn't really sound like railroading.

That all being said, most people in the system are a product of their own dumbass mistakes.

I will agree with that if you change the last word to CHOICES...Life's about CHOICES , some people are stupid and make poor choices. Most are lazy and make bad choices....It's not always easy to do the right thing, but it sure pays off in the long run.
