While true, people are stupid, and fall for the used car sales style threats the DA's and LE use as a tactic.

As suspected AB is on top of the people responsible for this but fact is he was handling 3 big cases worth considering. One is a money laundering/embezzling case the guy is from Houston. It was north of 40million apparently so it's worth considering he could be a suspect.
Then there's the horse racing money laundering case involving a certain cartel.
And finally an AB member case involving meth of course.
This is what I've heard. It will definitely interesting to see this play out.

Anyone else find it interesting that Dallas District Attorney Craig Watkins, a pro-gun control/anti-stand-your-ground advocate, has now instructed all prosecutors to obtain their CHL? I LMMFAO! Now that they feel the need to defend themselves, it's not only OK, but semi-mandated by a gun control advocate. I love it.

Oh it's OK for them to have guns to protect themselves.... it's just not OK for you to have one to protect yourself.

Just heard it on the news on the radio.

I don't need to provide a "link". If I tell you a rooster can pull a box-car, go hook him up. ;-)

I stand corrected. Unhook that rooster!

All I can find is him saying he feels "security detail" is required...

Dallas County District Attorney Craig Watkins told ABC News he believes prosecutors around the country are "under attack." His comments come days after a second Texas prosecutor was murdered along with his life.

Yeah, we don't have any issues in this country with overzealous / wrongful prosecution. I'm not saying this guy did that - and I'm damn sure not saying he didn't - but it does happen and it does ruin people's lives.

I'd like to see a punishment system for prosecutors of wrongful convictions. A system of checks and balances if you will. It might keep them from railroading innocent people just to pad their stats.

As for the specific case, I would really like to see how this turns out. Are we turning into Mexico?

Haha that is funny. Reminds me of something my dad would say.

The low level criminals and drunks get railroad'd all the time. Most rich people or people with money will buy their way out of most situations, but cartels, AB and prople with real money will not tolerate getting fucked over. Police are being kept in check by video cameras, but DA offices have been untouchable for very long time and now there seems to be a shift in people not taking it anymore.

I like the quote "The problem with for profit prisons is that it creates a demand for prisoners", which validates perfectly Henry's post. So long as there is profit in sending people to prison, they will be railroaded, and shit like this will happen.
