I cant help but to not feel anything about this. I am numb to it at this point. I am sure the people who knew them are in bad shape right now but I cant help but feel like in his career he F'ed a bunch of people over.

The best way to control negative karma is not to make it in the first place.

The problem is that we have been allowing the government to define who the "Bad guys" are and for the most part the public has believed them. The governments definition of "Bad guy" doesn't really line up with what is right vs what is wrong.

I also feel the need to point out that we DO NOT have a justice system; we have a legal system. For the most part what happens is a court room has nothing to do with real justice.

Tell me what law in the penal code that you disagree with (other than marijuana)...
The DA deals with criminals that are arrested by the police. The DA can choose to prosecute or not to prosecute any case referred by the police.
So, explain to me how a DA fu** people over ?
Most cases are plead out anyway...In 2012 in Collin County there was about 120 trials on misdemeanor cases, THE REST plead out... not sure on the felony numbers, but I bet their close...

I disagree will just about every law put on the books since about 1910 that tramples on personal freedom. Drug laws, gun laws, laws that say that the state has a greater right to your property then you do, laws that allow the agents of the state to search your car, your home and your person, etc.....

Are you saying that it is your belief that a system that has beaten down the rights of the individual by such a degree that most defendants feel compeled to "Plead out" to anything that they are charged with is proof that DAs don't screw people?

The guards at the death camps in Nazi Germany were just doing their jobs too.

Saying that he fucked people over by locking them up for drugs would be a good place to start. I'd even go so far as to say that most of his career was spent on drugs and the activities related to bringing that comsumer product to market. He was a warrior in the war on some drugs and now it seams he has become a casualty in that same war.

I'm gonna go with Family Law. The court system for family law has plenty of flaws. I feel due diligence is non-existent for judges and the attorneys involved are little more than extortionists.

I don't disagree, and I don't disagree with the legal system vs justice system. But that has little to do with this thread.

I'd imagine most DAs and ADAs are good guys. I have a friend that is an ADA, and he's a great guy, and as honest as they come. But as with so many professions, a few bad apples give the rest a bad name. The entire legal system in America is broken, and has been for some time. Corruption starts with the suits in D.C, and trickles all the way down to the officers enforcing the laws. That said, it's still better than the legal or justice system in any other country.

Out of curiosity, why is everyone assuming or pointing at the AB? I don't watch the news, and I only read the news as time allows. Is there evidence out there to support this?

It is for sure linked to the AB. All the details will come out just watch and see.

Nobody cares when something happens to the "criminals" why is it such a big deal when something happens to the same people that play the game that the "criminals" play? If you dont want that fate dont play that game. Stick to greeting people at the walmart door.

I'll take the AB over any "cartel" between the ADA shooting, the colorado/texas shooting, and now the DA shooting, i would not be surprised if this is all some how linked, and i would bet that it has to do with methamphetamine's. im sure they know who is involved but getting people to talk is no easy task, especially when dealing with people on the inside vs. the free world. it doesnt take but one guy to pick up a bs charge, get locked up for a few weeks. take some orders. get released, and pass the orders on. hell even half the guards work for the AB in the prison system.

You still have a right to a jury trial. I'm just saying. No one says you have to plea out your case to whatever the state is offering.
