You filled in a lot of blanks that weren't specified. He said his dog barks, which EVERY dog does, regardless of the level of training. You know what happens with assumptions.

Our dogs bark, their dogs bark, all our dogs bark together. Anyone that has been over to my place has heard the yippers (6-7 daschounds). Luckily for us, our porch is 75yrds from our back fence. My male boxer loves to agitate the yippers but doesn't bark at them. He does bark at the neighbor but he is just saying hi. If our neighbors have an issue we talk about it over the fence face to face but never have we had any real issues. Nice living on a large lot. If we hear ours barking more than the usual "hi" we call them in or shut them up. Neighbors do the same with the yippers.

I caught the neighbor behind me spraying my roommate's pit with a water hose because he was barking at him, or I'm guessing the dog wasn't barking until the neighbor sprayed him, he hardly ever barks unless something provokes him. The dog came in through the doggy door soaking wet one morning, so I took him back outside, saw the guy spraying the water hose, I told the dog to go bark at the guy this time. He starts spraying him again, I just yell "HEY!" He just looks at me with a guilty look in his face, and I just say "Don't fucking do that." he turned the water off and walked away. I haven't seen him do it since.

I don't get why people would mess with something that doesn't belong to them. Idiots.
