Better Route from Denton to Hillsboro?

So I've searched the Maps and google and what not..

Anybody drive from Denton South in Friday Afternoon traffic with a better route than 35W down towards waco/hillsboro???

I leave from Dallas and have a pretty good route that keeps me out of most of the mess but the little lady leaves from denton and needs some help.

Took her 4 hours last trip to get from her work in north denton to our lakehouse at Whitney.

Any input from the denton board members?

And for refernce: She Takes 35w south near the 35w/35e split until Hwy174 in Burleson

Usually faster to do 820 loop and go south 377 then take crowley rd 1902 to south 35 until they build the new highway from downtown to 67.

this is basically the only other way. have you tried a helicopter

Helicopter is funny. Guy at the front of the neighborhood actually does that occasionaly from Argyle... Think the warm up and cool down for his bird is way longer than the drive in traffic but the flying time is only like 30-40 min. Ah to have choo-choo money.

I've always dreamed of living next to the lake and driving a boat to work. Never cared too much for flying, but boating to work would be so badass!

Flying would be awesome. I hate traffic.

I have a decent route that I take from the regal/35 area of dallas down there that avoids the downtown/ AAC awfulness. Takes me through some interesting parts of town as well.

+1 on this. Might just be because boating is more fun as a luxury but I love being on the water.

Odd dream job for me would have been fishing guide. But, A: you have to be good at fishing. B: It might ruin some of the fun of fishing for me by making it a job.

(Random note from B however, our coast fishing guide is in his early 40s and has been guiding since he was in his late teens. That dude never seems to have a bad day and just loves being out there. I have been with a few surely guides in my day and he doesn't fit the mold.)

Thats what I told her. She actually goes that way monday through thursday because our nanny is on that route. She just doesn't go that way often on fridays we head to the lake because myself or my mom picks the runt up.

Would it be any better to cut over west towards Azle, then down the west loop of Fort Worth towards Benbrook. Then 377 S to 171S to 174 to 56
