Imagine what they would get without all of the emissions garbage sucking fuel economy away from the engine.

Not really. I don't care too much about the OTR truck market. I know the engines inside and out be Cali requires them in some oilfield equipment (thanks CARB!), and I know that 9.9 is way better than 6.5...

ISX15-G is not available yet. Only the 12. The Westport 'dual fuel' 15 is out there but, as you probably know, it's not the same.

      Here's our press release:

      They say its a 587.

They also said crackshaft and cummings. I assumed they were doing our newest model and the 587 has been out for a couple years. I see now after opening it and the picture it is the 587.

Good luck seeing 9.9 mpg real world (laden).

Is this engine still running DEF, or are they taking Internationals stance and increasing EGR?

Serious, trucks with 80,000lbs don't have flats, they have catastrophic losses of air, decomposition of struction and and rapid deployment of rubber that really fucks shit up.

                      EGR, DPF, SCR (DEF).

2013 Cummins engines have new combustion recipes. Less fuel usage (hotter temps), more DEF (1z% ish) to offset the increased NOx production, better mileage while meeting the new emissions regs.

International continues to stand alone in their relentless desire to choke their engines

Shit spreader stopped making there 13L, what a cluster fuck it was. There going back to the IXS. they are still making the 15L.
13 L was a bastard motor, Cat c13 lower with a international head. Cats love high RPM they tried to make it run 900 to 1100 rpm. Wrong bore and stroke.

Try calling a shop and getting one in for work, plan on a two week wait.
