thats about right.. 3 years prior AOL used to send out "trial" discs that were maybe 30-45 minutes of online time. you spent 15 minutes getting on, 10 minutes talking to anyone and everyone else who had a disc, then 10 minutes getting booted off. i am 31 so you guys are right on with the 17 year theory. sad ain't it?!

I remember playing my first games on a Tandy 1000 (Starfighter or something like that). We moved to Atlanta in 1987 and my dad had some limited access in the late 80's. I was all over compuserve, scanning in playboy/penthouse pictures and uploading them to exchange.

Then I got onto a local turbo 2.3 Ford email list about 1997, but didn't really do much on it.

My buddy Dennis was telling me about these guys Jose, Bryan Sharer, Algerene, AL P, Allen, etc back in the day. He said I should really get on this DFWStangs thing. I didn't do it until my car was stolen in '01 and I joined to see if anyone was selling my parts. Didn't find the parts but found out that apparently I'm a nerdy, weird, antisocial guy. So about 12-13 years for me.
