Here's what you don't understand, you dumb motherfucker. CNN TV had to cover all of what I mentioned before saying a word about what happened. All morning during their "hard" news they didn't say shit about it until the afternoon where it had already been covered by other news outlets.

you realize that the news works with multiple studios, and what happend at a certain time on the west coast may not have reached the hills of west virginia where you live for an hour or so right? i mean you used to work for the church channel so i figure you of all people would understand how tvproduction works.

One of my best friends nephews is apparently stationed there and was involved in one manner or another with this particular event. She was on the phone all night long with family trying to find out if he was one of the injured/killed soldiers (they are very reluctant to release information on soldiers whose jobs are high security). She got word around 1am Wednesday that her nephew is OK and was not harmed although he witnessed the death of several of his friends. He is pretty torn up.

Anytime we loose someone the name is considered TS/SCI until the next of kin/family is notified. 90% of the time, since we are overseas, they shut down all outside communication methods and jam the cell signals to prevent it being discussed. Known as comms blackout. It is hard when the news gets ahold of it and posts the name of the camp etc and then family cannot reach back to learn. It is part of the military machine.
