I wear red wings at work since they are free and they last pretty good. I use Nike or Reebok for tennis shoes but only wear them when I work out. I typically wear jeans year round and have wore these shoes made by Twisted X, they have held up strong for over 2 years now only thing wrong with mine are blood stains from wearing them hunting a few times.

My last two pair of asics fell apart after about 3 months of normal wear and some light running. Fuck asics. My adidas climacools have a year of heavy use and minus some dirt look brand new however I just switched to some minimalist inov8's, so between crossfit and day to day use we'll see how well they hold up.

I've had good luck with Asics Gel Kahana's from Kohl's. I'll go through a pair a year and wait to get a 30% off deal before buying another pair. I'm a cheapass, so they're great for a $45 dollar shoe.

New balance and asics last me a long time. My current asics are probably 2 years old and are in pretty good condition but need to be cleaned up.

I stopped wearing Nike's about 5 years ago because they were falling apart so easily

On a side not, hoe long do you guys go with a pair if shoes? What's your normal breaking point or deal breaker on an old pair?

Haven't bought shoes in the last 4 years . Wear boots everyday.

I bought my current pair of Merrells at Larry's shoes 10+ years ago, they are starting to look a little rough now though. I also wear some Pastrana edition DC shoes with shorts.

Before that I used to wear Bass because they were "cool" but they were never comfortable. Then I bought some chucka style Doc boots and wore them forever. Then some Polo boots that fell apart in 6 months.

I had a pair of Nike's that lasted like two years, and only retired them because welding slag put a bunch of holes in the tops, and the laces were coming out.

I replaced them with a pair of new balance, and the rubber part of the soles are coming off, started after the first weekend.

My last pair of vans lasted 8 years. I did not use them every day but at least 3-4 days a week.
