Side note because it's funny and for some reason Dannys post reminded me of it. There is a guy working for one of the local forces that was a driver for a pizza place at the same time I was in the 90s. He modified a cooler to sit on his passenger floorboard and would go through a case of beer while delivering every night back then. Imagine my surprise when I saw him in uniform. Lol

I had one follow me into the shop parking lot to tell me he likes mine, but they pull in to bullshit with us often, just never met this one.

It wasn't either of those cities. I'm not going to blast them, but it was one of the larger towns in the area.

That is surprising. Those guys have always been a little heavy handed.

My dad was driving through DWG in his '56 Chevy in the early '70s. They were convinced since he had long hair that he had weed in the car (their words). So they literally pulled the entire car apart in front of him while he waited, cuffed, on the curb. Backseat pulled, spare tire and everything in the trunk, even the air cleaner and battery. When they found nothing, they took off the cuffs and told him he had 10 minutes to "get that piece of shit outta here, and don't come back."

Dang! They pulled me over in my 69 Charger back in the 90s with no tags or inspection in my work parking lot. I got out of the car and starting walking towards the store like I didn't even notice them. Lolz Cop yelled at me asking what I thought I was doing, I pointed at the building and said sarcastically "Going to work." he said the t/I were out and I said I'd get it taken care of and he left me alone. I was frankly stunned, but I think I caught him off guard. I got pulled over in that car about 4 time for that before a Dallas Sheriff finally gave me a ticket.

Had that once, then got a ticket for expired inspection. Cops don't want to be your friends, they were fucking with the guy.

I had a Sheriff's Deputy follow me in the convertible Chevelle...finally pulled into a gas station and he pulled up behind me. He bent my ear for about 30-minutes, turned out he had a 72' at home that he was working on....I ended up giving him a phone number for a paint/body guy that I know...and later heard that he had some work done through the referral.

Was a cool guy too....actually knew what he was talking about, not one of those "I had a 65' Camaro" guys.

Never had one deliberately pull me over but have had them BS after stopping me for a reason. Even had a dps trooper tell me to go apply for their academy after stopping me doing north of 110mph in a 60mph, didn't even get a written warning that day.
