Guess my dad did pretty well about 3 weeks ago. He picked up a MOSTLY restored black 57 Bel Air HT although the previous owner did the majority of the work and a LOT of it was done improperly and we will end up having to redo a lot of it. Good looking black paint job although its not perfect, interior has been redone but still needs some help on a few things, motor is a 4 bolt 350 (owner told my dad he THOUGHT it was a 327 but it appears it is NOT), still has a powerglide that needs to be rebuilt/replaced (planning to put a 2004R/OD) in it. It does run and drive but not well (this guy was NOT a mechanic as much as he tried). Has a new Holley 650 4bbl, professionally installed aftermarket R134a A/C system installed at some point and it works. The car won't win any 1st prize awards at a classic car show...but its in better shape than a lot of them I've seen at local shows. With only minor work it should be a real nice weekend cruiser. He drove it home for $11,500. I've been told I will likely inherit it someday. I'll get some pics tomorrow.Last edited by ram57ta; 03-15-2013, 12:19 AM.

Good find.
I've been thinking of getting one for my next project, but I'm not familiar with the availability of oem or compairable parts for them, specifically anything impossible to find. I wouldn't do a concours resto, but my experience with aftermarket parts thus far make me want to find the most complete car I could.
I'll probably be picking up a '56 chevy truck from my cousin instead. Should be fun.Last edited by Baba Ganoush; 03-13-2013, 10:28 PM.

I know where there is a 57' Wagon sitting out in a field not too far from my place...if anyone is interested in going to the door and asking.....

Switch over to the birds eye view and zoom in, you can see it on the map....it's black/white. Been sitting there a long time.70' Chevelle RagTop

Man just in that shitty little neighborhood alone there are 5-6 cars worth having...there is a cool 65-67 Buick special off of Arapaho as well as a 69-70 SWB C10, and over on Indian Creek there is a 69' Camaro, a 65-66 Fastback, and also a couple other old wagons.
Right after I moved out here a guy I know found a 70' Boss sitting in the weeds about 5 miles from my house....he took it home for $2500!! I would've gone to the door and asked about that one if I had known it was there.70' Chevelle RagTop
