Ummm have you been to Houston? There is no "good time" for traffic on 45 or 10.

Time wise, you'll do better on 20/49. Just make sure you fuel around Shreveport....there are stations periodically, but it's pretty sparse along 49.

              I-20 to I-49, no question.

49 south of Bossier is 75mph. We go that way and average 81mph for hours!

I-20 to I-49......went down there this route, and came back 45-10 and regret it.

I20 to I49 and stop at Prejean's for dinner.

While it's obviously the fastest route, it's the most painful drive I have ever taken. I hate I49. It's the only stretch of highway I have ever fallen asleep on while driving.

Had you rather face houston traffic?

Whaaaaaat? I drive to Houston(Motorsport Ranch in Angleton) all the time. In fact, I'll be leaving tomorrow morning to go down there. No matter what time I leave, I never run into horrible traffic, and I stay on 45 all the way down to 288.

Still not sure what the best way to NO is, as the only times I've been, I've taken a ~1 hour flight on Southwest. Fuck driving thru Louisiana!

In Baton Rouge do not go I-12, stay on I-10. 610 miles from Keller to New Orleans. 7 hours and 30 min driving the speed limit, with 1 stop in Shreveport for fuel and bathroom.

I do it all the time.

I-20 east, I-49 south, I -10 east to New Orleans.

Me personally? Yes. That's how much I hate driving 49
