According to Siri she says I20 to I49, then rest of the way to I10. 521 miles in around 8hrs 15mins

That's the route I was leaning towards, but as traveled as the board is, I figured I'd get some good input from you guys.

I live in Baton Rouge and just made the drive from BR to FTW this past weekend in 6 hr and 45 min taking 190 to I49 to I20. Factor in another 45 min from place to kenner puts you pretty close to 8hrs with minimal stops.

Definitely 20 to 49 is the quickest but I took the southern route on my way back and enjoyed the trek.

I do it about once a month. I do 20-49-10. 190 works to but i prefer the interstates over 190

The interstate is great until you get stuck on the basin bridge for 2+ hours secondary to a wreck somewhere on it.

I'd rather have the faster speed limits and smoother roads. Besides, he's leaving in the morning which would put him in Houston in a time frame that is other than morning or evening traffic.
